Data DescriptionVIIRS Intermeditate Products (VIIRS_IPNG) - The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) is a scanning radiometer that collects visible and infrared imagery and radiometric measurements of the land, atmosphere, cryosphere, and oceans. VIIRS Intermediate Products (IP) are products generated at a specific point in the data processing stream, stored for a finite period of time, and used internally as an input to other data processing applications, such as in the production of Sensor Data Records (SDR) and Environmental Data Records (EDR). Some VIIRS IPs have become Environmental Data Records (EDR) produced as NOAA Enterprise Products. The JPSS_GRAN data family include five products that originated as IPs: VIIRS Ice Concentration, VIIRS Surface Reflectance, VIIRS Aerosol Optical Thickness, VIIRS Cloud Optical Properties and VIIRS Parallax Corrected Cloud Mask. VIIRS IP products are produced by the NOAA Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) and are distributed by the Comprehensive Large Array-Data Stewardship System (CLASS).
